Sunday Experience
Psalms in the Psun
Under trees … branching,
Green leaves … reaching,
Worship God … singing,
God speaks … listening,
My life through Him … never ending.

Thoughts about Colossians
Before Sunday, we would love to hear some reflections from Journey folks:
What has been meaningful to you from our study of Colossians Chapters 1-3 ??
Pens
Posted February 8th, 2008 by Ghost inI was pleased the pens were used one Sunday, but disappointed to see in my typo - the repeat of the word ‘that’ on the pens. Though the typo is unfortunate, I was hoping they would still be used.
Are they not going to be used at all?
What do you value, really?
Frances heard a little tidbit about belief recently in a Menlo Park Pres podcast:
There are things you say you believe
Then there are things you think you believe
And finally there are things that you show or reveal you believe.
The connotation being, of course, that actions speak louder than words. Furthermore, actions even trump intention or what we’d like to be true in terms of belief.
Keeping up with the Joneses
To answer Jeff’s question from this morning:
According to The Encyclopedia of Word and Phrase Origins by Robert Hendrickson, the origin of this phrase is rooted in the popular comic strip of the same name created by cartoonist Arthur R. “Pop” Momand. The strip debuted in 1913, ran in American newspapers for 28 years, and eventually was adapted into books, films, and musical comedies. The “Joneses” of the title were neighbors of the strip’s main characters, and were spoken of but never actually seen in person.
Margins: What will you implement?
So this morning we heard and discussed margins. What will you implement this week in order to create or maintain margins in your life?
