Anyone want to help?
I’ve been contacted by the Mental Healthy Advocacy project to help a lady in need:
I’m going on Thursday July 10th at 5:00pm… anyone want to come with me?
The client’s name is Brenda, and she lives in Sunnyvale.
Ms. Tickler’s apartment is in disarray following a flood in her bathroom. Many of her belongings were moved for cleaning and repairs; and, due to very severe physical disabilities, she is unable to clean and reorganize her apartment without assistance.
Anyone with me? call 408. 499.9790

Under trees … branching,
Green leaves … reaching,
Worship God … singing,
God speaks … listening,
My life through Him … never ending.

Keeping up with the Joneses
To answer Jeff’s question from this morning:
According to The Encyclopedia of Word and Phrase Origins by Robert Hendrickson, the origin of this phrase is rooted in the popular comic strip of the same name created by cartoonist Arthur R. “Pop” Momand. The strip debuted in 1913, ran in American newspapers for 28 years, and eventually was adapted into books, films, and musical comedies. The “Joneses” of the title were neighbors of the strip’s main characters, and were spoken of but never actually seen in person.
What do you hope to do in 2008?
I am hoping to do more traveling in 2008. We took a few trips this year with Ryan and they went well so our confidence about traveling with a 2 year old has been boosted. Anyone have good ideas about places to go?
What do you want to do in 2008?
Silent Sunday
So we had a Sunday off from the Journey. What did you all do today instead?

Christmas traditions
Posted December 20th, 2007 by mcphail inJoining you all from chilly Indiana. While answering Jeff’s questions, Kelly and I were pleased to share during last Sunday that we enjoyed the traditions surrounding the Christmas season, and they’ve done a lot to help us as we look to start a family.
So I pose this questions to you:
Good or bad, what traditions have helped form your perceptions of Christmas, or simply what traditions have you enjoyed.
My example, I REALLY enjoy snow around Christmas.
