This past Sunday we heard a few people share about how they GIVE MORE at the holidays and during other times of the year. In the first service we heard from Trey and his toy making, Linda and her support of Advent, and the MacInnes and their involvement with people who have what Tara had (sorry, can’t remember the name).

What was mentioned during the second service?

What were some of the other ways that maybe weren’t shared due to the time limits of the morning?

I’ve never been a fan of Bill Hybels’ model and the reflexive mimicry of their model by other churches who also wanted to grow. Of course, the growth desire is always about numbers and not organics.

This is a “reprint”/repost of an article on the JesusManifesto blog. It has some challenging ideas for a church seeking to be innovative in a nation of status quo churches.

So, when are we going to change? Anyone up for something more than (the right moves in the right direction) reorganized chairs?

IF we define the church simply as:

What do you think about what is in our news these days? Should we remove the word “God” from our currency along with our pledge of allegience? It is my opinion that we should due to the seperation of Church and State. How do you feel about it?
