Just For Fun

I would like to propose that the Journey Talk in Church web site create and entirely new Forum Topic entitled: Good News. My rationale behind this is quite simple. Each of us have some very Amazing Grace Events taking place in our lives as we Journey together (by the grace of our wonderful God) through Life. To this end I am submitting a very touching true story that was sent to me by my very dear old friend Denise Wirtz in a suburb just south of Chicago, IL. So, here it is:

A DAD’S STORY

When: 4/19 9am start
Where: Sunol Regional Wilderness (map attached)
Off I-680 exit at Calaveras Road/Highway 84 (past Fremont but south of of Pleasanton). Turn right on Calaveras and proceed to Geary Road, which leads directly into the park. If anyone wants to carpool we can meet at the Journey office parking lot at 7:30 and leave by 7:45, it should not take more than an hour to get there.
What: Canyon View Trail (apx 3 miles) Gentle rise in elevation.

Hello Ladies,

I would like to cordially invite you to a Women Only chick flick night at the Journey Office on Friday April 11, at 7:30 PM. We will be watch a total chick flick, relax in comfy clothes and have some much needed girl time.

Please bring a snack or drink to share with everyone. Can’t wait to see you all there. If you have any suggestions on what movie we should watch I would love to hear them. We will take a vote that evening. Please feel free to invite friends as well.

My team at logitech ice needs a few new players for the upcoming summer season. If anyone is a hockey player and is interested, let me know!

Hello friends and family of the Journey. I would cordially like to invite you, your family, and your friends to an evening at Christmas in the Park. We will meet on December 21, 2007 at 6:30 at the Starbucks off of San Pedro St. We will quickly grab a cup of hot chocolate and then proceed to walk to Christmas in the park. In case you weren’t offended enough the first time.

Hey Everybody, Thanksgiving is fast approaching and we are drooling thinking about the Turkey and all the trimmings!

Lookin for a little feedback on this here. Had the idear of making this at the service this morning after that spiffy video montage about worship. Got the juices flowin.

If anyone’s in the field and is curious… the text was made in NURBS in Rhino and imported into Maya for rendering. Lit with an HDR image made in Photoshop and a “softbox” for fill. Few adjustments in post. 4 passes including occlusion and alphas for each element.

Let’s try this out again. This wednesday night at 6:00pm we will be walking. We will start at the end of Chenowyth road over by the Oakridge mall. The cross street is winfield. Right at the white fence at the end of the street. Last week we had 6 people, 2 kids and 2 dogs… Hope to see you there! It takes about an hour and is about a easy 3 mile walk.
Strollers and pets on leash can be taken! Invite someone you love!
