Community Impact

Turning God's love for us into tangible expressions of outreach. We'll use this group for brainstorming, planning, and organizing.

The Journey is committed to making a positive difference in our community. 3 times a year we “cancel” regular church services and use that day to go out into the community. These are called Community Impact Sundays.

Anyone want to help?
I’ve been contacted by the Mental Healthy Advocacy project to help a lady in need:
I’m going on Thursday July 10th at 5:00pm… anyone want to come with me?

The client’s name is Brenda, and she lives in Sunnyvale.
Ms. Tickler’s apartment is in disarray following a flood in her bathroom. Many of her belongings were moved for cleaning and repairs; and, due to very severe physical disabilities, she is unable to clean and reorganize her apartment without assistance.

Anyone with me? call 408. 499.9790

One More Boost for Maggie?

in

Maggie is so thrilled with all the work we’ve done for her!
She says she now has hope for her “new life.”

So…I’m trying to finish a few things for her
Two more rooms need to be cleared out, walls and floors desperately need cleaning, and her kitchen needs to be cleaned.
Hopefully that will remove the cat smell.

On-Demand Community Impact

Journey’s Community Impact days are great outreaches to the needs of people but when crises and emergencies affect someone, waiting for the next CID just won’t work. On-Demand Community Impact would be an always-available pool of people and money to meet the unexpected needs of people.
