Getting Started
First, you are going to need an account. I know what you’re thinking, “another account to keep track of”, and i feel your pain. For now, until something else comes along, this is what we’re stuck with. The reason for the account is two fold. First: accountability, anonymity + internet usually spells disaster. This site’s purpose is to spur relationships and its hard to develop a relationship with Anonymous.
Create an Account
Click the Create New Account link in the top login bar. There are just a few things to fill in, Username will be your nickname on the site so pick an identifiable one like your name (“firstlastname”, or “First Lastname”). The Email Address is where the password will be sent. You can opt-in to email notifications (we’ll talk about that later) but by default wont send you emails and your email address will never be visible on the site. You can handle the rest of the form. Watch the case when inputing the letters from the captcha.
Sign on
Once the account is created you will receive an email with your new password. Now back to talkinchurch.com with your password in hand (or on the clipboard) and now you can sign in using your username and password.
Update your profile
Now that your in you’ll want to change your password to something you can remember; and you can also setup the rest of your account. Click on the My Account link in the top bar to go to your page. Then from the menu choose Edit. There are a few sections (Account Settings, Basic, Contact, Personal…) fill out as much or as little as you want but make sure to press Submit before switching to the next section.
You made it! Congratulations you have officially started.
