JourneyLand

Journeyland is a program for children that is held during The Journey’s Sunday Worship Experiences. Currently there are four classes for Journeyland kids offered during each Worship Experience, grouped by age — nursery, 2 & 3 year olds, 4 year olds through kindergarten, and 1st through 5th graders. Each class is led by excellent Children's Ministry Staff. Our teachers receive background checks, and genuinely care about the safety of your child. Nursery parents get vibrating pagers in case they are needed during the Worship Experience.

Journeyland is a place where kids have fun. At Journeyland, kids play games together, design crafts, learn a variety of play-ful songs, and enjoy snacks. Journeyland is also a place where kids learn and grow in who they are. At Journeyland, kids develop their relationships with God. They hear powerful stories about God from the Bible, are taught how to talk to God, and learn Bible Verses. Journeyland is a place where kids feel safe, are safe, and develop life-long friendships.

Life Transformation Group

Life Transformation Groups (LTG's) are The Journey's primary method to offer people a chance to do extensive Bible study and provide support and accountability in the process of personal spiritual growth. We will begin Lectia Divina soon.

18-20 Somethings

The name of our group is 18-20 Somethings, but it's really more about friendship and the pursuit of faith together. We like to study the Bible and ask what it really means for our lives. We're not interested in surface level discussions or surface level faith or surface level friendships. Our desire is to welcome people in our age group to pursue life together. Community Impact

The Journey is committed to making a positive difference in our community. 3 times a year we "cancel" regular church services and use that day to go out into the community. These are called Community Impact Sundays.

Crossroads Youth Group

Our Junior High Group is called THE EDGE. We meet the first 3 Tuesdays of every month from 7:00 - 8:30pm. Crazy games, our youth band leading worship, great talks about relevant topics, and small groups. We try to dig a bit deeper into what The Bible says for people figuring life out in high school. We meet at various students homes and have a great time. Hiking Group

The Journey Hiking Group •Weeknight walking groups meeting at Communications Hill, Monday at 5:30 easy one hour walk, Thursday stair climbing at 6:15 •Monthly hikes in beautiful parks around the Bay Area. This is a great group to get to know other Journey people or to invite your friends and family to get to know your church family! Next Hike: Saturday, March 19th meet at the Pioneer front parking lot at 8:30, leaving parking lot at 8:40, we will carpool to Main Street, Los Gatos parking lot or on the street. Where: Flume Trail to Main Street, Los Gatos – Hiking at 9:00am from Main Street, Los Gatos, connected with Jones Trail, followed Jones Trail to Lexington Reservoir, came back down the Flume Trail Segment, and back to Main Street, Los Gatos. International Impact Team

The International Impact Team exists to fill a gap between the Journey Church and marginalized and impoverished communities. The mission of the team is to share the Journey’s spiritual, human, and financial resources with international communities suffering from poverty, oppression, and injustice. The active ministries of the International Impact Team include: * Step Up Honduras: Tim and Jaclyn Horan are currently raising support to serve as long-term missionaries in Honduras. For more information, visit their website at: http://stepuphonduras.org/. * Limpopo Area Development Program, Zimbabwe: Through World Vision’s C2C Program, The Journey Church is supporting children, communities, and churches in the Limpopo region of Zimbabwe. Limpopo is an area that has been devastated by the AIDS pandemic, severe economic hardship, and recent droughts. Families from the Journey are sponsoring 100 children living in the region. Sponsorship dollars are used to bless the lives of children by transforming their communities from places of poverty and despair to places of hope and opportunity. To learn more about Limpopo and child sponsorship opportunities, email Jason Jones at jjones@rbf.com. * AIDS Caregiver Kits: Every 14 seconds, a child loses a parent to AIDS. World Vision has organized a vast network of local volunteers to provide care and comfort for those suffering from the disease. But these caregivers lack even the simplest items needed to prolong lives and comfort the sick. The Journey supports caregivers by assembling caregiver kits, which contain basic medical supplies and medications, such as rubber gloves, cotton balls, washcloths, and anti-fungal cream. Journey Softball

Did you know that the Journey has a softball team? Actually, we have two teams that are currently playing in the San Jose City Church Adult Softball League will begin play in the summer league starting in mid-July. Monday nights is an all Men’s league and on Friday nights is a Coed league. If you are interested in playing or want more information, contact Phil Osuna at posuna@sbcglobal.net or (408) 375-6916. The teams love fan support, so even if you don’t want to play, be sure to come out and cheer on the team(s). Check out the current schedules for dates and times.

Men's Ministry

The Journey Men's ministry thrives by providing great activities and opportunities for men to have fun and bond in faith and friendship. We're not the type of group that holds hands, but we sure do want to grow as men pursing character and godly traits in our lives. We have a regular 2nd Saturday morning men's breakfast, plus monthly activities, and an annual men's retreat. Uniquely You

What is this about?

The goal of this program is to help you discover the ministry that best fits your personality and fits the Spiritual Gifts God has given you in order to be more effective in ministry at the Journey and in your life.

What is Uniquely You?

Uniquely You is the material we use to help probe and discover our spiritual gifts and how they relate to our behavior/personality. It consists of taking a “profile” (or questionnaire) and reviewing the detailed results to help you focus on the gifts that God has given you and how you relate to others around you. Although the assessment is faith-based on biblical concepts, it will reveal insights into your personality you may not have considered. This program at the Journey takes very little time and consists of three parts: 1) Taking an online questionaire to help you determine your behavioral type and Spiritual Gifts 2) Reviewing and interpreting the results with someone else 3) If you like, using the results to help you get connected to a ministry at the Journey!
