paypal

in

Just a quick suggestion. I know for many people, the few months that the donation through PayPal was on the old website were happy times. Just wondering if that will be added to this web site anytime soon? I love giving to the journey but budgeting wise giving a check is crazy. Most of the time it isn’t cashed for a couple weeks. PayPal was so much easier.

Re: paypal

its on the list! :D but i have a couple of questions for everyone. How many people use this, and of those people that do use it (or people that would) who would be willing to use a different online payment system?

Paypall charges 2.9% + $0.30 on every transaction. Google checkout is running a promotion where till 2009 transactions are free and after then the price is 2% + $0.20. Google is obviously undercutting PayPal.

Would those of you who use the online donation option be willing to signup of a new thing just to ensure that all the money you donate is given to the Journey? Is ~$3.00 per $100 not enough of a deal to offset those who might want to give but only if it was online through paypal?

Re: paypal

i would use either although i prefer paypal.

Re: paypal

For me, it doesn’t really matter - I just like being able to make my donations on-line and if Google system works best, why not use that one? Thanks for considering using this service again.

Re: paypal

how bout credit cards so I can earn AIRLINE MILES!

Re: paypal

A while back, I tested a CapitalOne credit card that had miles and it did not authorize the payment to a non-profit Paypal account. I would have to test this again, but believe there is a restriction on this via PayPal. Not sure about the Google payment authorization.

billpay

You can set up any person or organization in bill pay at your favorite online bank. The payment will be mailed out as a paper check and it’s service fee free for both parties… well at least it is for me.
