Our kitten just died. I don’t understand why God would allow him to live until now and then let him die when we just brought him home. We have lost so many people in our lives, family, friends and dear pets that I just don’t think I can take anymore. A huge part of me died tonight as well.
I lost 3 rabbits 3 weeks in the heat and it was one of the most horrible things that ever happened to me. (The two still alive are brought inside on hot days with frozen water bottles now.) It gets easier. I am seeing ways God is encouraging me and comforting me in small ways. I hope you too will feel how deeply God cares for you even though he allows loss to occur.

Life sucks, but God is good. I have to continue to believe that — not just as a future hope, but as a struggle to understand the present, and a purpose to direct my life. But from a position of pain, life just sucks, period. Thank you for your honesty.
