Other "ancient" topics
I am proposing we discuss two additional “ancient” Christian traditions as they have been practiced since the beginning:
- marriage (focusing on ritual component I guess)
- death (again, focusing on ritual component)
IMO, it would seem a shame if we did not discuss these topics along-side Baptism/Communion as ancient Christian traditions :)

Kyle, I think you’re on to something…the subjects themselves are loaded but I do think there is something to be said about how we celebrate (or mourn) these aspects of our lives in the context of church. When we have the background of how they started, why we do the traditions we do, they become more meaningful. Particulary after hearing Rob Bell monday night, it’s even more amazing at how much we ignore of history and our collective past that really robs us of understanding of why we do what we do, why we are what we have become.
