I Liked the Un-Conference - didn't you?

The input and interaction between people was amazing this morning! I directly met 6 new people and had a chance to hear some of their thoughts about a variety of topics. The community feeling of today brought us right into to what the Journey is about!

I think Jesus himself would have been interested in being part of the conversation on many of the topics brought to the floor today. Way to go!

Yes… having everyone brainstorm together was amazing… I especially noticed that everyone was ‘included’ and welcomed… new people were easily connected in… it was a great day!

I thought it was great as well. I met new people and learned that many others had my same interests, which was amazing. I am looking forward to putting some of the ideas into action.

I thought today went better than I anticipated. I was worried that it would just become a “whiners” session. But that wasn’t the case at all. I saw and heard people not complaining but brainstorming how to improve or start something or just raise the thought of a concept that could be processed. I loved that people LISTENED to each other and respected differing opinions.

Lots of constructive ideas. I longed for this kind of interactive session for a long time. This was a great way to meet people too. So many people hungry for more of Jesus but less religion.

The session topics that were brought up were amazing and totally God honoring! Topics like justice for those who suffer from abuse, people who are recovering from addiction and pain helping others who are suffering from addiction and pain, people talking about having doubts and asking questions about God/the Bible/Jesus without fear, getting into communities based on commonalities, impacting our community, and how to bring the worship experiences to a new level, just to name a few. I took a few minutes to just look around and take in what was happening. It was really amazing.

Just wanted to chime in with the fact that I thought today was amazing, I really respected the people who gave different ideas. I think this was the perfect forum for each of us at the Journey to own some of the responsiblity of what we want to get from our church experience. And can I just say that it is wonderful to take part of something so amazing. God is Good! Kristy Vasquez:)

I got so much out of it. I loved how much people got into it. Plus I saw a few new people there.
