Motorcycles and LTGs
Motorcycles and LTGs
Check out the Motorcycles topic in the Just for Fun forum.
We are looking for motorcycling enthusiasts to go for rides on the weekend, stop off at destinations, and fellowship. What are your thoughts on this activity?
Re: Motorcycles and LTGs
DougEFresh: Devin, Lisa, and I had a great ride last Sunday afternoon… cruised out to Morgan Hill and up to Mt. Madonna. The redwoods there were awesome and so was the view. Stopped at Starbucks of course!
Re: Motorcycles and LTGs
Doug,
Sounds like it was a nice ride. Wish my schedule would have allowed me to join you guys.
What do you think about this coming Sunday afternoon?

Re: Motorcycles and LTGs
This Sunday sounds good for me.
Re: Motorcycles and LTGs
I can make it, but Lisa won’t be riding on the back. She has a commitment. Let’s talk Sunday…
Re: Motorcycles and LTGs
I spoke with a couple of riders this past Sunday. Although a couple of us were talking about a ride that afternoon, seems like it would work best if we plan a date/time that would work for a number of folks, if interested. So, to start this off, I’d like to suggest Sat., Nov 3rd as a possible date. Might be fun to take an easy ride Sat later in the morning and be back around 1pm.
Thoughts? Suggestions?

Dean Floyd
Re: Motorcycles and LTGs
DougEFresh: Great idea, Deano! Set a meeting place and invite everybody - How about the Starbucks by Snell and Santa Teresa? What do you all think? Meet at 11 am and ride til 1 pm?
Re: Motorcycles and LTGs
Who all is going on the ride today, Sat. 11/3/2007 @ 11am?
If you are interested, say yea!
There is the womens breakfast this morning, so some couples may not be able to make it due to that activity.

Dean Floyd
11/3
DougEFresh: I’m up for it, Deano, and Lisa may be coming along too.
11/3
DougEFresh: So far as we know, it’s just Dean and me… is anyone else planning on coming? If you are do a posting here or just meet us at the Snell and Santa Teresa Starbucks.
We had a very nice ride out Hicks Rd. on Sat.
It was a beautiful day, still a lot of Fall colors in the trees. Our ride out Hicks Rd. took us out through New Almaden. Just some history here; New Almaden was the site of the first mining in California. The Ohlone Indians dug for cinnabar to use as the base for their red paint. In 1845 Andres Castillero a Mexican officer filed for and was granted title to the land.
You can find more info here (http://www.ghosttowns.com/states/ca/newalmaden.h...). Some amazing history in our own back yard.
After the ride, we stopped for an afternoon coffee and to take some time to talk about the ride, family, God, life…
Hope to see more folks turn out next time.
YBFAM,
Dean Floyd
