Church's view on Calvinism

Hello all, I am new to the site. I was told by a friend that this church was pretty neat so I thought I would inquire a bit more about their theological beliefs. I was curious as to what the church’s views are on the controversial issue of Calvinism? Any ideas or statements of their faith would be greatly appreciated.

Calvinism
Hey, great question… probably one better suited for a Denny’s run, but here are a few thoughts.
Since you asked the question, you obviously have studied or considered God being “sovereign” over all - and Calvinism’s main thrust as I can tell is all about God being in control and sovereign over all. The extreme opposite of this is total human controlled destiny - where God only watches what happens. Some place in the middle is the reality in which we live - dependent for every moment of life God gives us - moving in the freedom he also provides. I assume you have looked over our statement of faith on the website - and probably understand we are quick to acknowledge the limits of our understanding. :) Feel free to call with specific questions.
